Dr. Sara Bolden is a licensed physical therapist and board certified women's health specialist specializing in pelvic pain, urogynecologic disorders and pelvic floor dysfunciton. She is the first and, currently, only women's health certified specialist in Atlanta and metro-Atlanta region.  Dr. Bolden is an alumnus of LSU receiving a BS in Biochemistry as well as Shenandoah University where she received her doctorate of physical therapy. Her doctoral research involved the development and validation of the Bolden Urinary Incontinence Questionnaire which uses subjective survey information to categorize individuals into the four major types of urinary incontinence (urge, stress, overflow and functional incontinence). Dr. Bolden has a passion for women's health and maintains an evidence-based practice in which she continually reviews research for the latest, most effective treatments available for women's health. She is an active participant in conducting research and maintains close relationships with other field experts. Dr. Bolden is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Section on Women's Health, Georgia State chapter of APTA, Interstitial Cystitis Network and International Pelvic Pain Society.

A pelvic floor specialist is a skilled health care professional who has specialized training in the anatomy, function, evaluation and assessment of the pelvis and its corresponding muscles, bones and soft tissue structures.
